Schools to Return to Virtual-Only Instruction for Remainder of Semester

Unicoi County Schools will move to ALL virtual instruction beginning this Tuesday through the end of the semester.

Students will not attend school on Monday, November 30.

Monday will serve as a professional development day for staff to prepare for the transition and will also allow families to make arrangements to get devices or other items from their school if needed for continued instruction.

All virtual learning will begin on Tuesday, December 1.  Families and students will receive information from their respective schools tomorrow concerning the virtual schedule moving forward.

We apologize for the disruption and inconvenience this brings. We simply do not have the staffing available to provide in-person learning at this time and feel it is best to remain virtual for the next 3 weeks and into the winter break.

Our hope is to resume in-person learning to begin next semester.

Details about meal deliveries for the rest of the semester will be released tomorrow.

There will be a video released later this evening with more details concerning this decision.
