On Thursday morning, Nov 11, at approximately 7:45 AM, Unicoi County High School, Unicoi County Middle School and Love Chapel Elementary School were placed on a brief, preventive lockdown due to an unspecified threat.
School officials and local law enforcement thoroughly investigated the alleged threat. The threat was determined not to be credible and no further action was warranted at this time.
All lockdowns have been lifted and schools are operating on a regular schedule at this time.
